Initial consultations are for discussing your goals in working together. Presenting problems, circumstances, and frequency are considered. This type of session serves to determine eligibility for the consulting service and is otherwise known as the intake process. This involves a confidential disclosure of mental health history and consent to work together, either in person or online.
Each session is different based on the client's needs and goals. A typical session will involve discussion, image and archetypal amplification, as well as dream analysis and the working through of imaginal content. This online work is not sufficient for acute therapeutic needs or relative diagnoses.
